William IV was the King of England from 1830 until his death in 1837 when he was 71 years old. As he had no children, Victoria was made Queen after his death. Princess Charlotte of Wales was his niece and would have been Queen, had she not died in 1817. He was the third son and child of George III. His reign lasted only seven years.
