Prince Albert is the husband of Queen Victoria. In the episode Brocket Hall he and his brother come to see their cousin, Victoria, for the first time since she became Queen of England. This visit was heavily encouraged by Leopold, wanting to set up the Queen with Albert.
Prince Albert was born on the 26th August 1819 as the second son of the reigning duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. He was raised like a twin with his older brother Ernest after there only was 14 months between them. Albert tells Victoria how his mother ran away from his father and was captured, sent to exile were she died.
Albert and his brother Ernest are sent to England by request of their Uncle Leopold, who wants Albert to marry Victoria. Albert and Victoria don`t like each other at first mostly because of them wanting to reign a country differently. However, as they understand each other more and more they fall in love. Victoria asks Albert to marry her and he accepts.
